Case study · via Perficient, with Interbrand
Honeywell Aerospace
The templates behind a new aerospace website: from the stories it tells to product pages full of technical data.

01 Joining mid-flight
Honeywell Aerospace was redesigned at the same time as Honeywell, by the same team at Perficient and with the brand by Interbrand. The first batch, the homepage, was done before I arrived; I joined the project, led by Director Joe Andretta, to help move the rest of the templates forward.
From there I designed most of the pages that followed, along with the components they needed, working closely with Lead Designer Anabel Ruiz, who owned the design library for both brands.
02 Stories and insights
The content side of the site: the Insights Hub, where articles, case studies, events and webinars meet, and the templates for each article and case study. Both share a sticky anchor navigation, so long reads stay easy to move through.

03 Products, down to the part number
The product side is where the content gets dense: thousands of products, each with specifications, compatible platforms and parts. I designed the path from All Products and the category pages down to the product detail, with filters at every step.
On the product detail page I designed the full layout and its data tables: grouped specifications that collapse, compatible platforms, and a searchable parts table that leads to price and availability.

04 Solutions
Solution detail pages tell the story of a platform or program and connect it to its products. I designed the full template and a lighter, products-only version.

05 A prototype for leadership
To present the work to Honeywell’s leadership, I built the prototype that walked them through the new site. New components came out of these pages along the way, and went into the shared library with Anabel.
The redesigned site is now live.
06 What I took away
Aerospace taught me the value of clean design, and of knowing my tools well: a tidy, well-built file makes the work easier for me and for everyone who touches it after me.
Designed at Perficient for Honeywell Aerospace with Joe Andretta (Director) and Anabel Ruiz (Lead Designer); brand by Interbrand. Screens come from the design files and use placeholder text and images. Honeywell Aerospace is a trademark of its owner.
